Let's get started

Inspired Hope Counseling offers evidence-based therapies/counseling by a trained professional that is person-centered and respectful. Common issues addressed include:depression, anxiety, relationship issues, military and sexual trauma.

Let us help you work through stressful life transitions such as divorce, medical issues, loss of a loved one or the aging process. Therapy can help you cope with personal loss, process traumatic events and develop better coping skills to meet life challenges. Our services are designed to help individuals age 18 and over on their journey to a more fulfilling life.

While psychotherapy is effective in treating many difficulties and disorders, it does require a commitment of time, money and energy. Your success will depend on many factors. Research indicates that one of the most important factors is a good fit between you and your therapist. A strong therapeutic relationship is a must! Please call 423-202-3033 to schedule an appointment.

Successful therapy outcomes also require commitment to being on time for appointments, participation, honest communication in-sessions, and completion of homework assignments. Completing homework assignments and practicing behavioral skills learned in session are often part of therapy. Greater participation will improve the results you receive from therapy.

Counseling for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can’t control it no matter how hard you try? Have you already tried therapy but found it ineffective? If this sounds like you, I’m confident I can help. My practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get the relief from anxiety that you deserve. When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms to the problem.

Counseling for Trauma

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster. While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed. In these circumstances, the support, guidance, and assistance of a therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma.

Divorce Recovery Therapy

Just as marriage is one of life’s most significant experiences, so is divorce. While recovering from divorce can be difficult, it’s not impossible. Divorce recovery therapy can help you cope with the emotional and mental toll that often comes with the end of a marriage. Working one-on-one with a therapist, you can learn to accept and address feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, guilt or depression. Your therapist can help you find positive outlets to deal with your emotions. Therapy can help you process these emotions in a healthy way so that you can move past this moment of pain and sorrow and work to move forward in your life.

Grief & Bereavement Counseling

Are you feeling profound sadness after the death of a loved one?

Experiencing excessive guilt about something left unsaid or undone?

Grief is a natural human response to loss, but that doesn’t mean bereavement of a loved one isn’t an intense and at times desolate experience. While painful experiences are normal during this time, your emotions may feel trapped on a non-stop rollercoaster, with downs and deeper downs interspersed with periods of brief respite.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy differs from Group or Alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.

If you’ve been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life. Individual therapy helps you win against whatever you’re battling by putting a real expert in your corner by means of a professional therapist.

Telehealth

Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment?

Do you live in a more rural area, or maybe you prefer to just do things Virtually?

If so, we can help you through virtual therapy, or telehealth.

Telehealth allows us to provide counseling and therapy to our clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone.

Therapy for Depression

Do you feel heavy with despair, struggling each day to keep your head just above the darkness and dread?

Does it take every ounce of energy to stay afloat?

Or are you feeling overwhelmed by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness?

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know you are not alone and there is help.

While it may seem difficult to find your way back to hope and happiness, I’ve been helping clients to personally do just that for years. To experience the joy of warm sunshine on their face, to reconnect with estranged loved ones, and to re-engage with a meaningful life.
